Description

A typical scene on the Great Western Railway main line during the ‘roaring twenties’ with a Churchward ‘Saint’ class 4-6-0 No.2922 ‘Saint Gabriel’ heading eastward out of Sonning Cutting near Reading with a Bristol to Paddington express. The ‘Saints’ were excellent engines and in many ways were the typical British express locomotive.
