The cab road alongside platform 2 of Edinburgh Princes Street station circa 1935. Passengers arriving on a train from the English capital are greeted by a host of friends, relatives, porters, cabbies and chauffeurs.
The locomotive is Pickersgill class 72 ‘Dunalastair’, built by the Caledonian Railway.

The locomotive is Pickersgill class 72 ‘Dunalastair’, built by the Caledonian Railway.
The car in the foreground is an Aston Martin ‘Lagonda’. This vehicle is still active in private preservation (2017).
Princes Street station closed in September 1965.
