They proved to be extremely popular with railwaymen and enthusiasts alike and were universally known as ‘Black 5s’. Here, at Bristol Barrow Road depot is No.5293 keeping company with an LMS built ‘Compound’ 4-4-0 No.1123 from Saltley sheds.
