Description

The Blue Pullman trains were built by Metro-Cammell and introduced in 1960.  Two sets were allocated to the Midland region while the Western region operated three. Together they brought together a level of comfort, speed and service as yet unseen on Britain’s railways and they were a popular choice for high end businessmen and other high-value passengers. Named either the ‘Midland’ or ‘Bristol Pullman’ dependent on region, this set, the ‘Bristol Pullman’, has just emerged from Twerton Tunnel west of Bath.
