Trevithick 200

Richard Trevithick was an engineering genius ahead of his time. Using the new metallurgical technologies and high pressure steam, he made the first successful steam railway locomotive in 1804. This painting was part of the exhibition in 2004 at the National Railway Museum in York that marked the 200th anniversary of the event.
