John Hardy

Born in north London in 1936, he was evacuated to Somerset on the Great Western Railway in the Second World War. This was the beginning of his interest in railways which was to cover the whole of the network. John was influenced by the 'naive' paintings of C Hamilton Ellis.
He is also a keen collector of tin-plate models.
